Lovely Kimberly in watercolor

"Kimberly"
18 X 24, watercolor

This is my third attempt at Kimberly's portrait, done in watercolor instead of pastel. I like the soft feel of this painting. Her fair hair and smooth skin seem perfectly suited to the wet into wet application of watercolor.

Kimberly is lovely and I hope that I have not only captured her likeness, but also her beauty.

I think your portrait of Kimberly is really lovely. I've never even attempted a portrait. Especially in water where everything has to be right the first time!

Hi Katherine..I think your painting of Kimberly is very good indeed! I hope that we will get to put our paintings up on the wall somewhere (from the "portrait project") This would be fun to see up close and personal. Great job.

Janelle, Celeste and John, thank you for your comments! I'm pleased with the portrait and happy that the model also likes it.
