Day One -- loading gear

Tide in, tide out. Ebb and flood. Today's low tide was a minus tide which meant the ramp to the dock was very steep. It made for hard work loading the carts and moving things between the car and the boat. By the end of the afternoon, I was able to take a sketch walk (is that a "sketch crawl"?)and watch the sailboats in Budd Inlet.

I think I can "smell" low tide!

I like Angie's comment! That's what I smelled when walking around the Ilwaco marina and having my husband tell me the place with the perfect view... and dark maroon /green stuff near my feet.
