Started with six variations of the lamp post composition. It was interesting to see the differing effects I got by moving the lamp post left and right and center. 

In the center, the lamp post took on the look of O'Keeffe's skyscrapers or Lawren Harris' lighthouse.

Hay start

Their curves flatten where they sit on the cool ground. Reminds me of how a model's thigh flattens where it sits on the wooden bench.

Storms over cranberry bogs

Not many places are just right for cranberry growing, but the Long Beach peninsula is one such place. Have you ever seen a cranberry bog? Of course, the berries are red, but so are the plants. Big fields of burgundy red growth that seem to wait patiently under stormy skies.
