wonderful sketches---especially your self portrait! I will love to see that sketch book and re-live your adventures when you get back. Wow--what beautiful scenery!
Your sketchbook is a trip. Literally. Your natty handwriting is wonderfully legible, your sketches are artful and the content is funnier than you often feel. For instance, the spirit in the eye seems to wear the same shades as the grumpy deck hand, the seals are Animal House frat bros and biting flies are vengefully slammed shut in the book.
I like the expression you captured in your self-portrait. You deserve some nice sunshine! It will be great to see your sketchbook when you return . Are you up to 500 pages yet?!
The self portrait looks like the kind of stuff Starbucks would use to advertise... though probably with a bigger smile and a coffee cup rather than a rain slicker and angry face...

Hi Katherine, Can't wait to peruse your sketchbooks on your return. Just hoping you guys are having favorable tides and red skies at night.
