I wonder what would happen if ...

Prideaux Haven

These are the words I speak aloud when I step over the threshold to my studio. I wonder what would happen if ...

"The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream.
The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird waits in the egg;
and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs."
William James

That is a striking picture of the hues, Kvan. Love it!

Thanks for the uplifting W James poem. Now I am thinking, too...

Thanks, Casey. I felt like I fractured the image, simplified it, and pumped up the color. You never know what will happen when you wonder what would happen.

Going all modern on us, I see... it's interesting that I can still tell you drew the tree. I don't know how I know, but it's there. #4

Your angel is getting stir-crazy. Threw the acorn and the egg up in the air and flapped the sheet. Look what came down. It's heavenly!

What a surprising choice of colors! I like the "What If" idea.

Celeste: you never know where your creativity will take you. You've traveled in many and varied ways yourself!

Thanks, Joni!

Hi Cortni! That's wild that you can tell my drawing even with the drastic change away from realism. Thanks for commenting!

Sam: like trying to pull the tablecloth out from under a formal setting, I'm afraid plenty of broken dishes ahead. But this one has something to say for itself.

Roxanne: don't mind me, I've given up on maps and GPS and I'm winging it here.

Suzanne: "what ... if" opens the possibilities for new things. More good things ahead, I hope!
