Hay start

Their curves flatten where they sit on the cool ground. Reminds me of how a model's thigh flattens where it sits on the wooden bench.

Great comparison. I have a whole file of hay photos to paint some cold winter when I can't get out!

Hay bales connect us to the land and feel honored as a painting subject to me. Thanks for the comment, Pam, I will look forward to your hay paintings when we get around to winter.

Hi William. I guess your last comment didn't come through (rats!). Thanks so much for sending me to the great dragonflyspoetryandprolixity blog! I am enjoying it very much!

I knew you would love this site given your background in literature. I've been sending comments, but sometimes they don't show up. All for the better though having discovered the meaning of "prolixity". My uncle used to call it the family trait.
