I love visitors!

My youngest son came for a visit recently. When I asked him what he wanted to do, he asked if we could go out to the studio and "goof around." Oh, we had a grand time!

Some things are so sweet, it makes my heart ache.

Know how you feel! Our daughter just left from a visit home. It's so great to have kids around. She went w/ me over and over to pick out paint chips and tiles for the backsplash. Loved every minute!

Jan: thanks so much about the cattails. I have a few more to complete the series -- blue, blue-green, and green. I'm cheered to hear that you feel like you've learned something from them, I know I have. More that I will translate into future pieces.

Susan and Sam: too true. I worried when my sons married that we might not be as close. Nothing could be farther from the truth. And now, I have two wonderful daughters in law as the best treat of all! How fortunate is that?!

Pam: you know exactly what I mean. Of course, the house is always much emptier when they go back to their own homes, but it's always worth the wonder of a visit. Hope your remodel goes well! Kitchen or bath?

You left out the best part! Now you have an AMAZING fully rendered and color painting of a barn. And by fully rendered I mean it vaguely resembles a barn. And by color I mean black and white. And by "amazing" I mean not-really-at-all.
