Lavender Path on Bristol

Lavender Path at Pelindaba, San Juan Island
7 x 11, watercolor and pastel on Bristol

Experimenting with different paper again. A watercolor wash under pastel on Bristol paper. And a path! I ask you, what's the big deal about paths?

there is no big deal about them--we make them a big deal...haha. This is another nice warm painting--cheerful and inviting.

Now here's a lavender painting that treats the subject with color sensitivity. I've seen too many using all-over purple, as if color perception fails in the presence of this plant.

Well done.
