slumped

ta-dah!
before it got slumped
This was my first glass slumping experience and while I enjoyed playing with the glass pieces (the color and shapes were dazzling), I was disappointed in the final result. No experience is wasted and I will look for opportunities to try this again.

That is a lot of fun. How did you fire it?

Love the strong colors. Almost looks like an abstracted-ish Diebenkorn.

Hi Casey: this was done in a workshop at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. They provided everything, I just had to design the piece, lay out the glass, and pay the fee. They put it in the oven, and then mailed it to me when it was cool enough to ship.

Hi Pam! Oh, you made my day by comparing this to Diebenkorn!!

Hi Ellemieke! I look forward to seeing yours, too. It was fun to do the workshop together. When are you coming back so that we can do it again?
