Gauze sky

I am reading Marc Simpson's book Like Breath on Glass: Whistler, Inness, and Art of Painting Softly. This painting was done with the idea of whispering color onto the paper.

Yes! Very fresh and just so.

I'll have to look up that book. My neighbors just got back from a 2 week cruise in SW AK - they had great weather until the last night in Vancouver BC.

a real departure from your usual work--it looks contemplative..like it could have been painted by Thomas Merton...if he painted.

I like this one Katherine. It's very Happy - I'll have to think about how to explain that, but I think it has to do with getting your landscape from the sky.
